
This pilot begins in 2020 and runs for three years.
Agri-Food Immigration Pilot is the new opportunity for labour and employers in the meat and mushroom production industry. It will help address the labour needs of the agri-food sector and this pilot will help employers to fight the labour shortage as well as give opportunity to workers to apply for Permanent Residency within 3 years.
The candidate will need to work with an employer within one of the industries and occupations listed as eligible for the pilot. If a candidate has eligible Canadian experience and qualifications they will be able to live and work in Canada as a permanent resident.
Basic Eligible requirements for this pilot are:
12 months of full-time, non-seasonal Canadian work experience in the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, in eligible and occupation listed under this pilot.
A Canadian Language Benchmark level 4 in English or French
An education at the high school (secondary) greater or Canadian equivalency
A valid job-offer for full-time, non-seasonal work in Canada, outside Quebec at or above prevailing wage
